big sunday, big fun

Now in its seventh year, Big Sunday is a celebration of community spirit where volunteers fan out across Los Angeles to work on over 150 different projects designed to improve neighborhoods and uplift spirits. Volunteer organizations, which range from the Catholic Archdiocese and a number of churches to several synagogues and Buddhist groups, private and public schools to the Daughters of the American Revolution, spend the day on worthy efforts such as making brunches at homeless shelters, repainting inner-city classrooms, visiting seniors in nursing homes, performing beach cleanups, providing battered women with haircuts and manicures and distributing gift baskets to needy children.

Sign up now...there are limited spots for each project.
