re the logo article--The "Annie" rip-off of the lettering from the s/t Alan Vega solo record is kinda weak. On the other hand, that LP has the greatest tribute to David Carridine ("Kungfu Cowboy") ever recorded.
And while the Music Hurts article focused on new bands, I must speak out about last fall's Top Extreme Music Logos Of All Time as compiled by Decibel Magazine. This list was a total mess, with Slayer's logo as #1(http://www.jhonny-s.net/noaxl/slayer_logo.JPG), and the Black Flag bars missing from the top 10. [Yes, Decibel is too ashamed to have the list and logos on their site.] But worst of all, #2 on their list was in fact the greatest band logo ever. Yes, Darkthrone:

And how about that for a black metal website? Nothing going on but the logo: no interviews, no gallery, no discography, no soundclips, no myspace crap. Just the most ominous band logo you could ever try to read.
