I've been hoping for this news

I've had a crush on David Ulin since I started relying heavily on Writing Los Angeles while at work on my dissertation - in other words, four score and 7,000 years ago. Seeing him moderate a panel at the Festival of Books was icing on the cake. I am clearly not the only Angeleno susceptible to Ulin's charms as he has just been named the new L.A. Times Book Editor.
